This tells the story of going to Amritsar, Punjab, India to set up a Drug treatment program that uses Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogai Bhajan, as the primary treatment modality. Gurucharan is a psychologist and teacher of Kundalini Yoga. This is his story. He travels with his wife, Carolyn (Karta Kaur). They begin in La Verne, CA USA and travel through Beijing and Bankok on their way to Amritsar.
The hospital was built in the early 1940's it houses 350+ mentally ill adults. The admin building was completed within the last year or two, as was the building we are in. Modern for India, Clean. Water and lights are intermittent. Very, very stark on the inside.
