Hand gestures & other tips
When your hand is in a fist and you extend your little finger, it means you want to be excused to go pee. When you tug on your earlobe it means you are sorry, both ear lobes very sorry. When you place your hand on top your own head, it means bless me (or I was blessed by something). When you reach down to touch someone else’s feet it is an expression of your love and respect for them. When you place your open palm on the thumb end of your closed fist, it is the equivalent of “flipping the bird”. Pointing your feet toward anything is a sign of disrespect. Wipe with the left, eat with the right. Shaking your head (no) means yes. When everyone is driving on the left side of the street, it means you have to look the opposite way before crossing the street. There is no word for yesterday or for tomorrow. Only “now” and “not now”.
