A treatment day

A treatment day

A typical day includes about 3 yoga/meditation classes, an experiential/educational class in Humanology (a spiritual approach to psychology espoused by Yogi Bhajan, aka the Siri Singh Sahib, aka SSS- not yet fully described/elucidated), a therapy group, a singing/movement hour, tea breaks, a recreation time spent playing new games or flying kites or going for a walk. They set up a meditation room on the unit that they use in the evening and morning for group meditation. They also began to read prayers/inspirational poetry together, on their own initiative. They get herbs and vitamins 4 times a day to support the body’s recovery and decrease physical discomfort. On the weekends, we do a lot of yoga and meditation in the morning, but in the afternoon, we try to have something different and more relaxed going on. A special diet that includes freshly squeezed juices to help with cleansing and rebuilding the body, has not really happened very well with the program here in India. We simply have not had the logistical wherewithal to get it done.
